Product Engineer

Work Location: Hook, Hampshire, UK

Over the last few years, it has been taking the UK by storm, as a key supplier supporting the energy industry go through a significant transformational period. Not only that, it has aggressive expansion plans for the rest of Europe, as well as exciting new products and services due to be launched.

We are looking for a product engineer to join the team and assist the Product Managers, Development, Marketing and Customer Integration teams in the development of documentation, management of different workstream deliverables, testing of products and onboarding of new customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop user guides for new products
  • Create product collateral for marketing and presentations to clients
  • Perform product demonstrations to clients
  • Assist product managers in their day-to-day activities including management of product relation documentation, development of product roadmaps and business cases and market analysis

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • At least 2 years’ experience in the industry
  • Action oriented with a customer focus
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills

Supply Chain Technical Lead

Work Location: Hook, Hampshire, UK

Not only that, it has aggressive expansion plans for the rest of Europe, as well as exciting new products and services due to be launched.

We are looking for an action oriented and interpersonal Supply Chain Technical Lead to provide technical support in design documentation update, manage value engineering in cost reduction and create a process flow for the supply chain team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage BOM including identifying discrepancies in BOM revision changes from Design engineers and updating revisions according to Engineer notes
  • Review manufacturers’ selection in BOMs release with line manager and release to factories keeping track of the changes
  • Manage value engineering by working with Buyer to identify cost saving opportunities in process and components selection.
  • Monitor progress in trial run and qualification on alternative components and report any savings to line manager
  • Define supply chain work flow process by identifying areas of improvement and proposing changes and creating SOP for Supply Chain team key tasks.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working in a design house environment ideally which has an offshore manufacturing facility
  • Understanding of BOM, generic electronics manufacturing process and basic component knowledge
  • Technical background is ideal but not compulsory

IoT Graduate

Work Location: Hook, Hampshire, UK

Not only that, it has aggressive expansion plans for the rest of Europe, as well as exciting new products and services due to be launched.

We are looking for an organised and action oriented graduate to join and support the IoT team in delivery new products from conception to delivery. You will be in charge of maintaining the specifications, ensuring deliveries from sub-contractors meet the requirements, testing and ensuring the end product is compliant with EDMI quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Writing product requirement specifications and exporting into the requirement management system
  • Maintaining a requirement traceability matrix via the usual management system
  • Delivery management and reporting including retrieving releases from subcontractors, checking against the requirements and commencing testing
  • Logging bugs in management system and reporting progress of bug fixing on a regular basis
  • Ensuring all requirements are tested and validated
  • Maintaining all technical documents in the dedicated database and supporting the operations team of a complete hand-over to the manufacturing of the product
  • Communication with Purchasing, Operations and sub-contractors in order to provide the correct files for manufacturing.
  • Assist in other areas of Operations as and when may be required

Experience and Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in a technical environment (electrical, telecommunications, computer science, mechanical)
  • Interest in electronics or programming (raspberry Pi for example)
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Highly organised with ability to create strong peer relationships
